Maryland based artist, Sharon Wolpoff’s exhibition, Light of Day brings luminous color to the Lombardi clinic. Twelve paintings are currently on view. “It is my desire to find a way of being in this world that illuminates others,” says Wolpoff about her paintings. Many patients, caregivers and medical staff who have seen Wolpoff’s paintings in the Lombardi clinic waiting rooms, have made it a point to seek out Julia Langley and Morgan Kulesza to say how much they enjoy the exhibitions.

Claire Wagner, Arts and Humanities knitter, holds her weekly knitting workshop within the Lombardi clinic surrounded by Wolpoff’s paintings. A patient told Wagner, “Let me knit with colorful yarn because the bright colors of these paintings make me cheerful and happy.”
