His lab has developed number of computational chemistry, and biology and artificial intelligence technologies for accurate drug screening, new chemical design & synthesis, drug repositioning, development & translation of drugs to the clinic, exploration of the mechanistic pathways, toxicities of chemicals and drugs. Dr. Dakshanamurthy has been the principal and Co-principle investigator on many government grants. He has significant collaborative experience with diverse investigators. He has given numerous invited lectures on computational chemistry and molecular modeling.
Dr. Dakshanamurthy is responsible for defining the scientific and financial goals of the CCSR. Dr. Dakshanamurthy is responsible for establishing scientific collaborations, for writing of both grants and manuscripts. Dr. Dakshanamurthy also acts as a mentor on the computational chemistry, molecular modeling, computational biology and artificial intelligence applications of CCSR users and trainees.
Benefits and Opportunities of Working Within the Shared Resources
In addition to the many benefits offered to all Georgetown University employees, there are a number of benefits specific to staff of the Shared Resources. Shared Resource directors will work with staff to develop a plan for continuing education and training. Opportunities offered will depend on the workload of the shared resource and the availability of resources but the Shared Resource director will make every effort to ensure that staff receive the education and training needed to move their career along.
