Instrumentation and Services

Services offered by the shared resource include:

• Customized service for SPR experiments
• Advice and guidance on the use and applications of methodologies and on experimental design
• Delivery of data and guidance on the including of SPR details in grant proposals and scientific manuscripts
• Research and development to fit users’ specific needs

Technologies available include:

• Biacore T-200: This instrument can run screening or other direct binding experiments against three immobilized ligands simultaneously on the same chip.
• Biacore 4000: This instrument can run screening or other direct binding experiments against eight to sixteen immobilized ligands simultaneously on the same chip. Eight ligands are preferred.
• Biacore 8K⁺: This instrument can run screening or other direct binding experiments against eight immobilized ligands simultaneously on the same chip. For interactions that need much stronger regeneration solution that may damage ligand covalently attached onto sensorchip, parallel kinetics can be used to cover multiple dose without regenerating the ship surface.
