Program Overview

The Cancer Cell Biology Program represents a reshaped molecular oncology program, with a crisper focus refreshed by the addition of new members via recruitment and reassignment from other Georgetown Lombardi programs.

Mission Statement

To leverage mechanistic studies at Georgetown Lombardi to harness therapies for patients in our catchment area.

Specific Aims

Cancer Cell Biology Program members focus on two specific aims:

  • Aim 1: Understand therapeutic vulnerabilities within cancer-related genetic, epigenetic, and DNA damage response mechanisms
  • Aim 2: Elucidate druggable steps within cancer signal transduction networks
