National Cancer Institute (NCI)-Designated Cancer Centers with leading national organizations and the University of Puerto Rico Comprehensive Cancer Center have released a joint statement reinforcing the importance of safe and effective human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination to prevent cancer. Nationally, HPV vaccination coverage has stagnated and falls short of the national goals.

Georgetown Faculty Share Research and Explore Collaborations on Global Cervical Cancer
In June 2025, the Global Cancer Collaborative, a joint initiative between the Georgetown University Global Health Institute and Georgetown Lombardi, hosted a seminar on cervical cancer.
