Lombardi Funding Opportunities

Georgetown Lombardi has funding available for undergraduate/graduate students and trainees who have had limited exposure to cancer research activities. Support for trainee stipends must include opportunities for involvement in cancer research. Stipends are available for Fall, Spring and Summer terms. Stipends can be applied for up to 8 hours a week in the Spring or Fall semester or 20 hours a week during the summer, or for research supplies. Funds through this mechanism are limited to the availability of resources. Applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis upon request. Georgetown Lombardi has booster funding available to faculty (Georgetown Lombardi affiliate members or full members) who are from populations with limited representation in cancer research. Booster funding can be used to support research staff, gain additional training, support research analyses and dissemination, or expand current research projects. Resources are not currently available through this funding mechanism.

Georgetown Lombardi has funding available to provide leadership coaching or external leadership training for individuals who are Georgetown Lombardi affiliates or full members interested in pursuing a leadership position at LCCC in the future. Individuals from backgrounds with less representation in cancer leadership are encouraged to apply. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Open year-round for applications. Georgetown Lombardi has funding available to support scientific editing needs, publication costs, and grant writing support for faculty from populations with limited representation in cancer research or for faculty for whom English is not their native language.
