Georgetown Lombardi Disease Groups

The Disease Groups (DGs) are a critical part of the Georgetown Lombardi clinical research process.

The goal of each DG is to foster participation in the development, selection, and conduct of clinical trials. DGs are multidisciplinary and membership spans the DC and New Jersey clinical campuses, with representatives from MGUH, MWHC, and JTCC.

Georgetown Lombardi is organized into 14 DGs with leaders/co-leaders from each site, where applicable, to review potential protocols and to curate and manage the clinical trial portfolio. Through their collective expertise, the DGs manage the clinical trial portfolio, considering scientific merit, integrity of trial design, accrual potential, and existing trials.
