About
The Hematology Program is part of the Division of Hematology and Oncology. Hematology is the study of disorders of the blood and blood-forming tissues. Hematologists are physicians who treat a wide array of malignant (or cancerous) disorders — including leukemia, multiple myeloma, Hodgkin’s Disease and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma — and benign (or non-cancerous) illnesses, such as anemia, coagulation disorders and various blood cell anomalies.
