GUMC Informatics Expertise Directory
Introduction
This directory of GUMC faculty and staff with bioinformatics and informatics expertise is provided to help GUMC researchers, particularly those with large datasets collected by various GUMC Shared Resources, including the Genomics and Epigenomics Shared Resource, Proteomics Shared Resource, Metabolomics Shared Resource and others find knowledgeable experts in the informatics and data-analysis of various studies and data-types. Those listed here are willing to discuss potential funding opportunities, help identify suitable collaborators, or carry out fee-for-service work in, or out, of the GUMC Shared Resources model. Shared Resource directors may also be able to recommend those with such expertise. The Bioinformatics Shared Resource and the Biostatistics Shared Resource are best equipped to carry out small scale, fee-for-service informatics projects within their areas of expertise, but expertise in other areas may be available from those listed below.
In addition, the Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics program in the GUMC Department of Biochemistry and Molecular and Cellular Biology offers courses that cover most bioinformatic and statistical aspects needed for analyses in cancer biology.
