Scientific Writing and Grant Writing Resources
For faculty members, the Georgetown Joint Office of Research Administration offers grant writing support to PIs upon request. Faculty members who are interested should email Senior Director, Joint Office of Research Administration, Melissa Layman at Melissa.Layman@georgetown.edu with the following:
- Title or description of project
- Link to funding opportunity
- PI name, email and department
- Type of project (Funding Strategy, Training, New Investigator Support, Research Grant Application, Infrastructure/Equipment Grant Application, Large / Multi-institutional Grant Application, Resubmission Grant Application, Other)
- Consulting services required (Up to 3) such as grant strategy consulting, concept development and design, proposal narrative, proposal review, proofreading and format review among other.
The Georgetown-Howard Universities Center for Clinical and Translational Science (GHUCCTS) offers no-cost consultations to research teams. Services include recruitment strategies, language access, community engagement, outreach, and budget planning.
