DEI Funding Opportunities

The Georgetown Lombardi DEI Office has funding available for students and trainees who are from backgrounds underrepresented in cancer research. Support for trainee stipends must include opportunities for involvement in cancer research. Stipends are available for Fall, Spring and Summer terms. Stipend can be applied for hours on research support or supplies. Fall Stipend application deadline has been extended to October 8, 2024. Spring Stipend application deadline is January 20, 2025. Georgetown Lombardi DEI Office has funds available for any staff member within the cancer center to support individual professional development, the organization of an event or workshop for Georgetown Lombardi staff that relates to fostering a culture of inclusion, formation of peer/affinity groups (e.g., based on identity, background, or interests), or activity that fosters engagement with the community. Georgetown Lombardi DEI Office has booster funding available to faculty (Georgetown Lombardi affiliate members or full members) who are from backgrounds underrepresented in cancer research. Booster funding can be used to support research staff, gain additional training, support research analyses and dissemination, or expand current research projects. Georgetown Lombardi DEI Office has funding available to provide leadership coaching or external leadership training for individuals who are Georgetown Lombardi affiliates or full members who are from backgrounds underrepresented in cancer leadership.
