Today is International Day of the World’s Indigenous People

Did you know there are 370 million Indigenous people spread across 90 countries? To honor International Day of the World Indigenous People, August 9th, we’d like to share a reference that reminds the cancer community to look in three directions: epidemiology, culture and representation. Visit the February 2021 issue from The Cancer History Project on “Cancer Care in Indigenous Populations” By ASCO which offers a collection of articles of interest in these mentioned areas.

The Georgetown Lombardi DEI Office has funding available for students and trainees who are from backgrounds underrepresented in cancer research.
