Faculty Invited to Submit Innovative Proposals: local impact with a global reach

The Georgetown University Global Cities Urban Innovation Project issued a call for proposals inviting faculty scholars to submit proposals showcasing and fostering urban innovation. Successful applicants may receive grants of up to $15,000 to support their projects.

The purpose of this grant, spearheaded by Georgetown University President DeGioia, is to explore the broader social impact of the new Capitol Campus’s growth on surrounding neighborhoods and other community-based participatory research.
Proposals will advance scholarship in one of three categories:
- generating and disseminating new knowledge,
- engaging stakeholders to enrich ongoing research, and
- developing a plan to attract future funding from external sources.
Proposals may have one of the following focus:
- Community-Engaged Assessment
- Civic Innovation
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration
- Pilot Projects
