Advisory Boards

Georgetown Lombardi’s work is informed and guided by input from members of the communities we serve as well as leaders from the health care and business community. We are grateful for the participation of the members of the following groups.

Leadership, planning, and evaluation activities at Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center (LCCC) receive input from advisory committees such as the External Advisory Committee (EAC). The EAC reviews the progress of the cancer center and provides objective evaluation and advice. View the EAC members.

Leadership, planning, and evaluation activities at Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center (LCCC) receive input from advisory committees such as the Internal Advisory Committee (IAC). The IAC aligns cancer related activities, engages stakeholders, and helps coordinate goals and initiatives across departments, schools and among the University, Hackensack Meridian Health, and MedStar Health. The Community Advisory Council (CAC) ensures that communities are respected, informed, and engaged to collaborate on culturally relevant study designs, data collection instruments, and dissemination methods. Members of the CAC are representatives from different wards of the District of Columbia including neighborhood residents, community- based physicians, nonprofit and community organizations, churches, media and government officials who provide their input to ensure that the community’s needs are accurately depicted and understood regarding their health experiences, and that the cancer center conducts appropriate scientific research. The Lombardi CRTEC Advisory Council has representation across the consortium, and from the Research Program and Community Outreach and Engagement (COE). The CRTEC AC supports the alignment of CRTEC activities with the cancer center’s strategic research and clinical priorities, assessing the value of/or need for new or significantly reorganized programs, and promoting the coordination and integration of efforts across Georgetown Lombardi. Members of the ECLC support the vision to increase opportunity within Georgetown Lombardi membership and leadership, and create and sustain a culture of excellence for individuals across all levels of experience and rank. Members of the ECLC provide input and guidance to the Georgetown Lombardi’s efforts for ways to support early and midcareer faculty, along with sharing strategic ideas and input on leadership development opportunities. Early Career Leadership Council Members are elected every two years. View the ECLC Council Members.
