2025 Equity Forward Faculty Workshops

The workshop series ‘Building Foundational Knowledge in Health Equity and Cultivating Inclusive Learning,’ is designed to educate faculty, fellows, residents, and staff on fundamental principles that promote equitable and inclusive learning, clinical, and admin environments, offering core insights and practical strategies.
All MedStar and GUMC Faculty, Fellows, Residents, and Staff are invited to participate by registering to the specific workshop to receive the calendar invitation with the Zoom link.
Participants can join at any time any of the workshops listed as each session is independent and addresses one or both of the following tracks:
- 1) Foundational Knowledge in Health Equity (F)
- 2) Teaching & Learning Environment (T)
Certificate of Completion on Teaching for Inclusion and Equity and CE Credits available: Participants who attend and complete any 6 or more workshops of the series listed below will receive a CE credit w

Overall Workshop Series Objectives
- Critically analyze historical and contemporary factors contributing to health inequities and their subsequent impact on diverse communities.
- Apply skills to create and sustain inclusive learning environments that promote psychological safety, actively address biases, and facilitate dialogue on inclusion and belonging.
- Integrate equity-centered teaching and assessment practices regularly to foster respect, trust, and accountability for diverse learners and communities.
