DISCOVER Call for Proposals for Early Stage Investigators

DISCOVER (Development of Investigators Supporting Community Outreach and Value of Engagement in health disparities Research) announced a call for proposals focused on community engagement and addressing disparities in cancer, stroke, OR maternal health in the Washington DC area.
Deadline February 3, 2025, 11:59 PM ET
Who can apply?
Early Stage Investigators (e.g., postdoctoral fellows, instructors, assistant professors) are eligible to apply.
Funding description
Funding of up to $100,000 will be awarded for 12 months (see call for proposals for details). DISCOVER also provides numerous investigator development opportunities.
DISCOVER pilot grants are internal grants administered through Georgetown as part of the currently funded Georgetown DISCOVER Center for Excellence in Investigator Development and Community Engagement (P50 Grant from the National Institute of Minority Health and Health Disparities at NIH).

We will hold three DISCOVER Pilot Grant informational sessions in January 2025 to answer questions and provide guidance. Please use this Zoom Link to drop in or email discover@georgetown.edu and ask to receive a calendar invitation:
- Monday, January 13th @ 4 – 5 PM ET
- Thursday, January 16th @ 4:30 – 5:30 PM ET
- Friday, January 24th @ noon – 1 PM ET
