I-REACH Scholar Program 2025 Open for Applications

Infrastructure for Research in Equity, Aging, Cancer and Health (I-REACH) has rolled out its Scholar Program call for applications for 2025.
The I-Reach Scholar Program goals are to:
- Expand the diversity of the scientific workforce at the intersection of aging, disparities and cancer.
- Create a multi-institutional, multi-disciplinary community devoted to accelerating discoveries and delivering interventions to reduce health disparities and increase health equity
Components of Scholar Program:
- Mentorship
- Specialized training
- Access to data and biospecimens
- Career skills and advancement
- Experience working with stakeholders
- Leadership opportunities (e.g., co-leading meetings, mentoring, leadership training)
- Impact future I-REACH
- Be matched with two I-REACH mentors who will advise them during the program
- Undergo CIMER training to maximize the impact of mentorship
- Complete I-REACH’s unique foundational curriculum on aging, disparities and cancer
- Have access to the Data and Stakeholder Cores to help design and refine research while using I-REACH’s multi-level framework
- Participate in Idea Labs, peer-to-peer writing groups, mock study sessions and will attend and co-lead monthly I-REACH meetings
- Design a research project and will be given preference when submitting their proposals for consideration in the Pilot Program, which will support and fund collaborative work
