We take an inclusive approach to eligibility for funding and encourage everyone who is interested to reach out to us at LombardiDEI@georgetown.edu if they have questions about eligibility. Applications can be submitted for the following specific initiatives:

Each opportunity has different deadlines and requirements, with the earliest deadlines starting January 22, 2024 and with some accepting proposals on a rolling basis. Please review the instructions and submit according to the specific information described in the Call for Proposals.  Applications are reviewed by a committee consisting of selected members of the LCCC DEI Office, the LCCC DEI Advisory Council, the LCCC CRTEC Advisory Council, and members of the LCCC Executive Committee. Please submit applications through the DEI Funding Application Portal and direct questions to LombardiDEI@georgetown.edu. Applications will be evaluated based on applicant eligibility, alignment of the proposal with LCCC DEI aims related to enhancing participation in research for individuals underrepresented in cancer research, clarity of the proposal in terms of goals and outcomes, and relevance to the overall mission of LCCC

The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Cancer Research, Education & Training Opportunities and Funding is part of the LCCC DEI Office efforts to implement and evaluate strategies to increase diversity of trainees, Members, and the research workforce; enhance equitable participation, and promote inclusion and leadership by individuals who are from backgrounds underrepresented in cancer research
