congratulations to this year's spirit of life honoree,
Susan Miller is a wife, mother of four children - all under the age of nine - active volunteer, and triple-negative breast cancer survivor, who is currently being treated at Georgetown Lombardi.
Susan is a strategic business leader and entrepreneur with nearly 20 years of experience in commercializing ideas and products. Susan was recently named the Global Intellectual Capital Solutions Leader and Partner at Mercer, a global HR consulting leader. Prior to this position, she was CMO of start-up AnyPresence, and before that held leadership positions at CEB (now Gartner).
In her free time, Susan cleans up after her children, bakes outrageous birthday cakes, plays competitive tennis at Army Navy Country Club, and cheers on the Green Bay Packers as a one-share owner. In addition, she volunteers with The Langley School, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Faith Lutheran Church, Girls STEM-education Rosie Riveters, and Honor Flight.
Susan and her husband, Conor, are supporters of Georgetown University Medical Center's Partners in Research Program, through which they most recently funded a clinical research project conducted by Dr. Eleni Tousimis on post-mastectomy pain reduction. In addition, Susan is a devoted advocate for clinical trial participation, and an avid fundraiser for Georgetown Lombardi. Susan is thankful to her family and friends, and grateful for the nurses, doctors, and staff at Georgetown Lombardi.
