The Centers for Cancer Systems Biology (CCSB) U54 Awards

How to Apply

The Centers for Cancer Systems Biology (CCSB) U54 awards are designed to support pilot research programs in areas relevant to the goals of Georgetown Lombardi's CCSB. Awardees demonstrated innovative systems biology approaches to translational research and treatment of breast cancer.

All projects will be peer-reviewed and based on the following criteria:

  1. Scientific merit
  2. Technical soundness
  3. Innovation
  4. Focus on Cancer Systems Biology - does not need to be focused on breast cancer but alignment with the goals of tthe CCSB will be considered in funding prioritization
  5. Collaboration with other CCSB components
  6. Experience of the investigators - qualified new investigators per NIH criteria will receive priority if their appication has appropriate scientific merit but the award is open to all faculty members
  7. Appropriateness of the budget. Core A will provide the administrative support for this program
