Quality of Life Study in Latina Breast Cancer Survivors
The Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center's Quality of Life Study in Latina Breast Cancer Survivors is led by Dr. Kristi Graves. The purpose of this study is to learn about the natural history of Latinas’ breast cancer survivorship experiences and evaluate how cultural factors influence quality of life in breast cancer survivors. This research is funded by Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Women are eligible for this study if they are:
- Latina or Hispanic women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer AND
- Their breast cancer was diagnosed more than 1 year but less than 5 years ago (for example, diagnosed between 2004 and 2008).
Participation includes a single telephone interview (approximately 45 minutes) that can be conducted in Spanish or in English. Participants who complete the interview will receive a $20.00 gift certificate from their choice of either Safeway Foods (includes VONS, Dominick's, Genuardi's, Randalls, Tom Thumb, Pavilions, and CARRS), Target Stores, Borders Books, or Amazon.com.

Estudio de Calidad de Vida en Latinas Sobrevivientes de Cáncer de Mama
El estudio de Calidad de Vida en Latinas Sobrevivientes de Cáncer de Mama del Lombardi Cáncer Center es dirigido por la Dra. Kristi Graves. El propósito de este estudio es aprender acerca de la historia natural de la experiencia de las Latinas como sobrevivientes de cáncer de mama, y evaluar como los factores culturales afectan la calidad de vida en las sobrevivientes. Este estudio es patrocinado por la fundación Susan G. Komen para la cura.
Las mujeres elegibles para este estudio deben ser:
- Mujeres Latinas o Hispanas que hayan sido diagnosticadas con cáncer de mama
- Que su diagnostico haya sido en los últimos 1 a 5 anos (Ej., diagnosticadas entre 2004 y 2008)
La participación incluye una sola entrevista telefónica (por aproximadamente 45 minutos) que puede ser realizada en Español o en Inglés. Las participantes que completen la entrevista recibirán una tarjeta de regalo de $20 de su preferencia.
