Scott N. Myers, MD, MPH
Dr. Myers received his MD from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1999, following an MS in biology from Purdue University in 1994. Dr. Myers completed his Internship and Residency at Christ Medical Center/Hope Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn, IL. He then completed his fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology in Pittsburgh, PA. While at the University of Pittsburgh, he earned an MPH and received a competitive Fellow Grant for his work in the area of pharmacogenetics. Dr. Myers has spent several years giving student lectures, resident lectures, speaking at Chief of Service rounds as well as Tumor Boards. In addition to his many lectures, Dr. Myers has written several publications as well as presented several abstracts and posters. Dr. Myers has an interest in Sickle Cell Disease and childhood leukemias. He works in collaboration with the NIH and Howard University Hospital to provide the best Sickle Cell Disease treatment options to all children and young adults at GUH.
