What
|
The Ninth Annual Men's Event to benefit the Prostate Center at Georgetown University Medical Center's Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. In cooperation with the National Cancer Prevention Fund, it is an opportunity for a prominent group of men to enjoy an evening among their peers in an upscale dinner setting. It is held in 7 U.S. cities annually - Los Angeles, Nashville, Chicago, New York, Denver, Troy, MI, and Washington, DC.
The evening includes an information session on prostate cancer, unlimited bar, hors d'oeuvres, and a steak & lobster dinner. Door prizes will be awarded. There are also live auction items and a grand prize drawing.

Why
|
Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center researchers are constantly seeking new ways to treat prostate cancer, the second most common malignancy in American men (after skin cancer). Lombardi relies on a multidisciplinary approach to prostate cancer care. Specialists from the departments of Urology, Radiation Oncology, and Medical Oncology work with patients as a team to optimize treatment. Novel and promising clinical trials are continually being conducted to increase the effectiveness of treatment and to improve the quality of patients' lives.
