Team Lombardi curing cancer with every stride
in partnership with the Marine Corps Marathon™

REGISTRATION NOW CLOSED!

Team Lombardi will join thousands of runners in the 31st Annual Marine Corps Marathon, on the largest marathons in the nation. A truly amazing event, this will be an unforgettable (and achievable) experience for all participants.

The Marine Corps Marathon enjoys the affectionate title, "The People's Marathon," and has been nicknamed the "Marathon of the Monuments," because it passes many historic sites including the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials. Team Lombardi has been an official charity of the Marine Corps Marathon for six years.

TRAINING INFORMATION:

In Washington, D.C.

Who: Team Lombardi is thrilled to partner for the second year in a row with George Washington University's School of Public Health and Health Services. Training is FREE for all Team Lombardi members.

What: 6-Month Marathon Training Program

Where: 817 23rd Street NW in Building K (sign indicates GWU Exercise Science Department). There is FREE on-street parking available nearby.

When: Weekly training sessions are held on Saturday mornings beginning in May thru October at 7:00 a.m. As the weather gets hotter during the summer, run times will move earlier. Training with the group is optional for team members.

Why: Because training with a group for a marathon is much easier and more fun with a group than on your own! If you follow the training schedule and stick with the long training runs, you will be prepared to conquer 26.2 miles come race at the end of October! What better way to train on the scenic trails and paths throughout DC and Virginia than with a group.

Additional Perk: Our training partner will also provide weekly schedules for you to follow on your own.
