Our Mission
To provide and maximize comprehensive culturally-appropriate breast cancer screening services to women of the DC metropolitan area, regardless of the ability to pay, through clinical services, education and research.

Our Philosophy
It is our belief that bringing together health education, patient navigation, and high quality clinical care within a community-based setting will reduce barriers to cancer screening, reduce health disparities, and increase service delivery among the underserved women of the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The Capital Breast Care Center, through a generous grant form the AVON Foundation, is able to provide breast cancer screening services for women without health care insurance and without a means to pay for screening.  The Capital Breast Care Center honors the dignity of all women regardless of class, racial/ethnic background, nationality, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity, income level, and literacy level.
