Cecelia F. Rudman Endowment for the Arts and Humanities
A generous gift from The Robert M. Fisher Memorial Foundation of $1.5 million establish the Cecelia F. Rudman Endowment for the Arts and Humanities.
Watercolor artist Jackie Saunders teaches patients how to capture the color of flowers.The Endowment supports research in arts and healthcare and an expanded menu of programs providing greater access to the arts for people with cancer and their caregivers. The Arts and Humanities introduces all arts, music, dance, visual art, writing and theater, as tools for coping and self expression.
Initial research projects focus on the health benefits of writing. The gift honors the memory of Cecelia "Cookie" Fisher Rudman, who was a volunteer at Lombardi and an avid supporter of the arts in Washington, D.C. Learn more
