Description

The Histopathology and Tissue Shared Resource provides comprehensive histology services combined with expert technical assistance and support.  Observation of tissues in situ provides valuable information about cellular structure, morphology, and protein localization unattainable by other methodology.  A primary goal of the HTSR is to provide investigators with a single facility where they can receive a full range of histology services, including every step from fresh tissue procurement all the way to the final production of publication quality images.  Investigator access to a comprehensive set of services provided at a single location with expert technical assistance at each step throughout the process facilitates efficient, high-quality data production.

The HTSR, under the direction of board certified practicing pathologist Dr. Bhaskar Kallakury, is comprised of 5 areas of research support:
