The Georgetown Database of Cancer: G-DOC®

The Georgetown Database of Cancer (G-DOC®) is designed to serve as a cutting-edge data integration platform and integrative knowledge discovery system for the oncology and translational research communities. By aggregating public and proprietary clinical and -omics data from across the Medical Center, G-DOC® is expected to help bring about significant advances in personalized medicine for patients and to promote identification of new drug targets and therapeutic modalities.

In 2014 we expanded G-DOC® into other clinical areas of interest including data from the 1000 genomes project, muscular dystrophy, and dementia. The enhanced platform, G-DOC® Plus, takes advantage of cloud computing to handle next generation sequencing (NGS) data so that they can be analyzed in the full context of other omics and clinical information.
